COVID-19 faq

What happens if the COVID-19 situation doesn’t improve this summer?

We understand the COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving and the future is uncertain. Our team has been closely monitoring updates from the federal, state, and local governments and will continue to follow the restrictions and recommendations of our public health officials.

Is CelebrateErie going to be a health risk for attendees?

CelebrateErie will work closely with the Erie County Department of Health to ensure appropriate sanitation, distancing, and safety procedures are followed during the planning, setup, and the event itself, based on the recommendations in place.

What if I want to vend at CelebrateErie, but can’t afford the vendor fee due to the impact of COVID-19?

Our goal is to get all interested vendors, food vendors, activity providers, performers, and Chalkwalk artists signed up through our application process by May 1. Our team is happy to work with individuals or organizations in need of assistance to create a payment plan or other solution so that they can participate in CelebrateErie 2020. If you are interested in being a vendor at CelebrateErie 2020, please start the application process here.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

Our team will continue to assess all aspects of the event and COVID-19 situation into the summer. We will make a final determination on or before July 15, 2020 and decide if the event will go on or not. If the event is cancelled, we will work with our vendors, partners, artists, and performers to create virtual entertainment and programming for all of Erie to enjoy remotely.

As a vendor, what happens to my vendor fee if the event is cancelled?

We will determine if CelebrateErie will go on or be cancelled on or before July 15, 2020. If CelebrateErie is cancelled, all vendor fees will be reimbursed.
